At The PST Group, we don’t focus on off-the-shelf, common fasteners and screws. Instead, we manufacture high quality custom solutions that meet industry standards and your needs.
Our engineers use more than a half-century of experience to develop and manufacture a custom fastener that meets your exact specifications, including matched/mated parts for assemblies and low backlash custom fasteners. PST’s tooling experts play an important role in the development of custom fasteners. We make recommendations aimed at saving you money while delivering a high quality, long-lasting solution.

Custom Screw Manufacturing
As the pioneer of screw threading and a custom screw manufacturer, PST can handle various thread configurations.
We manufacture complete custom screws, including acme, ballscrew, metric trapezoidal, worm and v-threads. We also provide thread manufacturing based on customer specifics. Our in-house heat treatment capabilities produce hardened screws as well.
Many of our customers are manufacturers as well, but they turn to PST to manufacturer the threads onto their parts. By working together, PST receives our customer’s material before rolling or grinding the threads that they require onto the workpiece. Often a rolled thread is required because of its strength (especially when compared to a machined thread) and PST can conform to the customer’s needs.
For example, this type of work is often done for builders and repair companies for large industrial equipment. Depending on the customer and their capabilities, they will either have us reverse engineer the component, or they will provide the required specifications. Whenever we reverse engineer a part, we always work to improve the OEM design. At times, these threads are a custom size and style, but we still meet (and often exceed) a customer’s requirements and expectations.
On a regular basis, PST receives customer’s materials in a hardened state for thread rolling. Utilizing our vast selection of die types and die materials, we are able to roll these difficult parts, with a quick turnaround.
We handle a range of materials, from stainless steel to plastic. Our machines use the latest technology and thread techniques, from milling and drilling to turning and grinding.
Our machining capabilities include:
- Twin spindle machining
- Horizontal machining
- Vertical machining
- Turning centers
- Bar and thread polishing
- Bead blasting
Whether you realize it or not, you’ve probably seen some of work in action. Our highly engineered fasteners and components are used in a variety of industries, from agriculture and healthcare to aerospace.
